LATE SPEAKER OULANYAH'S BODY AT KOLOLO FOR STATE FUNERAL

By Ritah Kemigisa  April 6, 2022 The body of the late speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah will today be taken to Kololo ceremonial grounds where a special state funeral service is to be held in his honor. The state service is to be officiated by President Museveni with the main celebrant being the Church of Uganda Archbishop Kazimba Mugalu. On Tuesday, Oulanyah’s body spent the night at parliament where legislators paid tribute to the deceased. According to the minister for the presidency Milly Babalanda, only 1,500 have been invited to attend the event at Kololo ceremonial grounds including MPS, Ministers and family of the deceased among others. Jacob Oulanyah who passed on Sunday, 20 March 20220 in Seattle, USA. SOMBER MOOD AS BODY OF SPEAKER OULANYAH RETURNS HOME

Vice President, Speaker of Parliament receive Late Speaker Rt. Hon. Oulanyah's Body ChimpReports | by Sam Wasswa, April 1,  2022 | The body of former Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has finally been returned to the country, nearly two weeks after passing in the United States. The body arrived aboard an Ethiopian Airlines Airbus A350 which landed at Entebbe International Airport a few minutes to 2pm. At the airport the body was received by several government officials including Vice President Hon. Jessica Alupo, Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among, her Deputy  Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, the Chief Justice Alfonse  Owiny-Dollo, among other officials. The body of Late Rt. Hon. BURIAL PROGRAMME OF THE DECEASED SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT, RT. HON. JACOB OULANYAH

  Full Programme: Oulanyah to be buried on Friday, April 8 Nile Post| Edris Kiggundu — March 29, 2022 | Former Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah will be laid to rest on April 8 in Omoro according to the burial programme released by the National Organising Committee. The committee headed by the Minister for the Presidency Milly Babalanda also confirmed in a statement that April 8 will be a public holiday. The body will lie in state in Parliament on Tuesday April 5 and on Wednesday it will be taken to Kololo ceremonial grounds for a state funeral. Detailed Programme: Friday 1 rd  April 2022 at 2.00 pm  the body will arrive at Entebbe International Airport aboard Ethiopian Airlines. The casket will be received with full honors.
